Spelling - This week the 6th grade is doing the same spelling sort. 24 words focusing on suffixes: er, est, ier, & iest. Students received their words on Monday. We'll pretest and posttest before C goes off Friday.
Science- This short unit on the Earth will end Thursday. Students will take a quiz and correct their "Address Earth" packet on Friday. Students receive all instruction in-class. Have them show you their packet and explain to you what it is.
Writing-The second assignment is due Wednesday, and that is the "ledger" size poster about themselves. I'm going to put a few of them in the hall. This is a great introductory activity to see what each student can do. I'm loving what I'm seeing. Students can get parent help editing.
